Getting around Zichron Yaakov: buses, the train at Binyamina and the Rav-Kav

Zichron has no train station: how to reach Binyamina, which buses leave town and where they go, the internal lines, the Rav-Kav office and parking.

The first thing to know: Zichron has no train station. The council's English transport page names Binyamina as the nearest, and lists Egged (*2800) and Kavim (03-6066055) as the bus operators (council (opens in a new tab)). The bus lines below come from the Ministry of Transport's own timetable data for a weekday, 8 October 2026 (Open Bus / GTFS (opens in a new tab)); the Getting around page has every stop with the lines that serve it. Always check times in Moovit or the operator's app before you rely on them.

To the train

  • Kavim 701 is the dedicated feeder between the Zichron neighbourhoods (starting at HaNarkis/HaSavyon) and Binyamina station, with 23 trips on a weekday. When it was launched in 2018 it was timed to the trains (council, 2018 (opens in a new tab)).
  • Kavim 693 and 694 (about every two hours) and Superbus 156 and 157 also run to Binyamina station, from the Ma'ayan Tzvi industrial zone and Derech Yitzhak Rabin.
  • The old Kavim line 30 (Ramat HaNadiv - Binyamina) no longer appears in the timetable.
  • Israel Railways lists Binyamina as open 24 hours Sun-Thu, until 15:15 on Friday and from 19:10 on Saturday night, with free parking on both sides (Israel Railways (opens in a new tab)). The railway line is *5770.

Out of town by bus

  • 70 (Kavim) to Hadera central station, about every 20 minutes.
  • 202 (Egged) to Haifa and to Pardes Hanna-Karkur (Caesarea-Pardes Hanna station), which Clalit lists as the bus to its Psagat clinic (Clalit (opens in a new tab)); 768 (Kavim) also runs to Haifa, about hourly.
  • 826 (Egged) between Tel Aviv and Nof HaGalil stops at Shfeya junction about every 30 minutes, and 845 (Egged) runs to Tel Aviv from the Zichron Yaakov interchange.
  • 978 (Nativ Express) to the Aluf Sadeh terminal in Ramat Gan (8 trips), and 980 (Nativ Express) between Ramat Gan and Safed via Shfeya junction.
  • 710 (Kavim) to Netanya (10 trips); 708 runs only once a weekday, at 06:00.
  • 263 (Kavim) to Caesarea, three evening trips.

The council once advertised a weekend night bus to Tel Aviv via Binyamina. That page dates from about 2017 and the current timetable data does not show it, so treat it as discontinued (council (opens in a new tab)).

Inside Zichron

In the 8 October 2026 timetable the local lines are Egged 1, 2 and 3 (plus several lines that run only a few school-day trips) and Kavim 5 and 90; line 5 links HaShmura/HaPnina with Mall Zichron. The council's English page says there are three internal routes (council (opens in a new tab)).

Rav-Kav

The council lists a Rav-Kav office at 51 HaMeyasdim St, in the alley between the Midrachov and the Bezeq parking lot, which also sold Rav-Kav card readers (the hours on its page are from 2018) (council (opens in a new tab)). Eligible pupils load school-travel vouchers through the HopOn app or website.

School transport

The council runs school routes by registration zone. Eligibility for funding follows the Ministry of Education circular; ask the school office or the education department (04-6297190) (council (opens in a new tab)).

Driving and parking

On two wheels

The Sovev Zichron mountain-bike singletrack is a 22 km loop with 500 m of climbing; park at the entrance plaza of Gan Yaron by Halomot Zichron (council (opens in a new tab)). All the lines are in the directory.
