Zichron is small, so most places to stay are within a short walk or drive of the Midrachov (HaMeyasdim St). The council's tourism site keeps a list of hotels, boutique hotels and zimmers (opens in a new tab); the details below come from that list and the hotels' own sites.

Hotels on the ridge

  • Elma hotel and arts centre on the cliff edge (1 Yair St), with concert halls, a spa and an art collection; curator-led art tours run Monday-Saturday at 11:00 (Gordonia Hotels (opens in a new tab)).
  • Gordonia Zikhron Ya'akov, 141 sea-view rooms and a year-round heated infinity pool; children aged 10+ except on the main holidays, a regular kashrut certificate from the local rabbinate and an in-house synagogue, per its FAQ (opens in a new tab).
  • Eden Inn, 96 rooms in lawns at 2 Derech Aharon, with a summer pool, used for conferences and events (edeninn.co.il (opens in a new tab)).
  • Beit Maimon, a sea-view boutique hotel at 4 Tzahal St (maimon.com (opens in a new tab)).

Boutique hotels and inns in the old moshava

Several old farmhouses along and behind the Midrachov are now small hotels: Zamarin Hotel & Spa (16 HaMeyasdim), Smadar Inn (31 HaMeyasdim, with a heated pool and the family winery), Boutique 49 (49 HaMeyasdim, nine rooms), HaGafen (68 HaMeyasdim, eight suites in an 1888 building) and the Baronita suite above the restaurant at 27 HaNadiv St.

Zimmers and couples' suites

Yama Wine Spa & Suites (21 HaHagana St, adults only, three sea-facing suites) and Zimeroni (29 HaMeyasdim) are aimed at couples. The tourism list also includes private studio flats and holiday homes rented through Airbnb; we have not listed individual hosts.

Nearby

Caesarea, south of Zichron, has the Dan Caesarea resort hotel (Dan Hotels (opens in a new tab)). We found no hostel in Zichron.

Tips

  • On Shabbat there are no buses or trains, so if you are coming for Shabbat without a car, stay within walking distance of the shul you want; the Midrachov hotels are closest to Ohel Yaakov and Moed.
  • For short-term rentals, search the big platforms by neighbourhood (Moshava Center and HaMoshava North are the historic core).
  • Check kashrut with each hotel: only some state a certificate.
